BIO

Eric Halliday is a father of two sons, a husband to his wife, a student of the world and, according to his father, a descendant of Johnny Appleseed for whatever that last bit's worth. Early in his life he became obsessed with visiting the elementary school library upon discovering Shel Silverstein. Later in life he would raid his father's library and discover Douglas Adams. Eventually he met his friend, Polly, who would later become his wife, who introduced him to Neil Gaiman. These three writers would help form his view of the world and inspire him to write stories for himself.

In his teens and early 20's, growing up in a small suburb in Ohio, Eric wrote a large variety of short stories, many terrible but all enjoyable to create, including a particular tale about him and his friends being stuck in a universe made of their individual struggles which featured a giant half-pipe and a sentient crossbow. His work makes far more sense now.

Now, graced with a BFA in Creative Writing for Entertainment from Full Sail University, Eric works to create new stories, screenplays and the occasional nonsensical tale for his two children, Damian and Malcolm, who are also, thankfully, obsessed with books and the worlds contained within.

“Stories may well be lies, but they are good lies that say true things, and which can sometimes pay the rent.”

Neil Gaiman
